How can a little dog be a threat when she is running away? I would say that your officers need a little more training in dealing with dogs. I've encountered a lot of dogs that showed a great deal more threat than this one, and I haven't shot any yet. Mail carriers and delivery people deal withh dogs all the time and rarely have to seriously harm them.

This was completely wrong & unnecessary. I don't care what the owner's past is or what happened that day, a PD responding with criminal behavior is not acceptable.

This obscene murder of companion animals MUST stop. There may be a rare case where lethal force is the last resort BUT should NEVER be the first, automatic response. The way rogue sociopathic cops are killing our family dogs is even worse than the thugs killing dogs in Romania for a cash bounty because the law enforcement officers are supposed to be above thugs in their behavior regardless of how jazzed up they are because they have used military equipment to make them feel like they are above the law and that we US citizens are a foreign enemy rather than the tax payers who pay these creeps

It is time that all police departments get better trained how to handle situation that involve our dogs. Across the USA there is a rising trend of police killing dogs saying they felt threatened by the dog with NO evidence to substantiate that the dog posed any danger to the police officer in the majority of these evn=ents. The police have to answer for what they have done with adequate punishment for their actions of killing our dogs. I think if this continues the public will decide to take the matter into their own hands and start to arm them selves so they can defend their property and their dogs.
