RIP Angel u poor baby, I hope the officers get the book thrown at them, so sorry u had be put through such a horrid act whilst all u wanted 2 o was go back into the safety of ur own home, so sorry this happened xxxx

There have been far too many family pets killed by trigger-happy police officers and this has to stop! These pets are just doing what dogs do, and Police officers should be trained to recognize a true threat and only shoot as a last and final resort. I am outraged and disgusted by the actions of these officers. Deadly force was NOT required.

I am a former Racine resident and I am ashamed and appalled by the actions of the officers in this situation. Carrying a gun demands self control in situations and the lack of judgment and control is concerning. This life was taken for no reason. The officer(s) involved need to be held accountable for the action they took and poor judgement they used. Other methods are available and should have been used. Any excuse will not bring back the life of this dog. This is not the first time officers have used guns to kill dogs. This has to stop.
