I'm sorry this young man had to go through this, it makes no sense to me why this officer felt as though he was in any kind of danger responding to a traffic accident. This man has no business being in law enforcement period.

The cop belongs in jail for shooting this our true hero's which are, are military personal, the person in Alabama suing Mr. Davidson needs to get kicked out of office, and Mr. Davidson deserves a huge compensation for the horrible disrespect for another life. Military personnel go to jail for shooting civilians in a battle zone, where people in civilian clothes are shooting at you. Yet cops could shoot Americans if they fear for their life even if the American is unarmed, that's shameful and sounds more like some 3rd world country type of police force.

It seems to me that Michael was getting the wallet out to get the ID... nothing more than that... Look at the very beginning... he just grabbed the wallet and was getting out of the car... I do not see how officer acted reasonably... It is not a traffic stop where he would stay in the car... Both drivers came out of the cars after the accident... Look at the truck driver, he came out too and was coming towards the the SUV and the police, but when police started shooting he went back and hid... Wallet happened to be the black color, like most guns are... Just because the police officer (might be not a very experienced one) could not evaluate the situation before shooting, poor veteran got shot... Look again, when you hear the actual shooting, Michael is standing with both of his arms being up in the air including the wallet... He is not pointing anything onto them, he is holding both hands up in the air... I do not agree with the judge at all!!!
