I see no reason why the layers should press for the unconditional release of internet fraudster who had confessed to all the offences. Already, the investigation is still ongoing. Also, the guy has obtained the citizenship of other four countries. It is sure that if he is released, as being pressed for by the layers without being brought to book, the guy will abscond and will never appear again for the case. Mind you, the guy was arrested by the interpol. Did the lawyer seeking for his unconditional release ever stated his offence?
