This is a petition for the appeal of the case of Wilber Curtis Johnson. He was sentenced to 25 years without parole for a crime he did not commit!
Wrongful convictions devastate lives and families all over Texas — and fighting a wrongful conviction can be nearly impossible!
Over the past two decades, more than 300 people in the U.S. have been exonerated of crimes that occurred in the pre-DNA era (Innocence Project, 2016). As a result, researchers and practitioners have become increasingly interested in identifying the factors and processes that lead to the incarceration of innocent people. To date, this research body has offered a limited understanding of factors associated with justice system errors, and widely divergent views on the prevalence of wrongful convictions.

This is a prime example of how faulty the legal system is ,I still won't say it's broken though bc the people who put it in place made it to be this way #Sick

Texas courts need to look at this again. Wilber has been in there way too long and everyone knows it. Free him now!
