Decklan is a 9 year old special needs child who requires a lot of attention. In August of 2016 his father, who was under the influence of drugs, strangled him. Decklan has had a lot of emotional damage including anger and ptsd, that even resulted in him being kicked out of school. He still sees a therapist weekly for the trauma he has endured. As of January 16, 2018, the court only wants to give his father 12 months of probation, anger management classes, and a $1 fine. We are hoping to be able to open the judges eyes to see that Decklan deserves justice for what his father has put him through. Probabation is not enough for child abuse.
