Employers are to provide a safe place for new mothers to pump breastmilk that is private, has running water, a refrigerator for the breastmilk, and an outlet.Some nursing mothers face hardships while pumping breast milk at work. Assembly Bill 193 strives to allow nursing mothers to report or file a complaint if they are discriminated against for taking breaks to pump breast milk. As Assembly Bill 193 is still in process, there are various steps you can take to advocate for these nursing mothers!

Seeing this kind of momentum feels like a weight lifting off my chest after the struggles I faced trying to pump at work. Your belief in this cause proves that no mother should have to choose between her job and her baby.

seriously how are we still dealing with this in 2017?? ugh. moms have enough on their plates without worrying about where they can feed their kids at work.
About time. Every woman deserves a clean place to pump for their baby.

My boss literally told me to pump in the bathroom stall. Its so unsanitary and humiliating. Glad someone is finally doing something about this.
