I have spent the last few days formalizing our request for mediation to force a meeting with Takhini Transport. The legal team is currently reviewing the company's refusal to acknowledge the Yukon Fair Wages Act to determine our next filing steps.

The scale of this response is forcing a conversation with Takhini Transport that they previously ignored. I am finalizing a formal letter to their board of directors to demand a meeting this week.

The bus drivers do more in two hours than most people do in an entire day. They look after the most precious cargo and on top of that put up with over 30 kids all of which are not their own. Give them what they need to keep them happy - they deserve it!!
our children rely on the buses to get to and from school. Takhini Transport has a responsibility to address the concerns of their drivers and reach an agreement. I want to send my kids to school using a service that respects it's employees. Time to call Takhini Transport to be accountable.

Having been a driver for Tahkini, this is way past due! The drivers deserve more and to be treated fairly. It's to bad the most misbehaving child they have to deal with in a day is their employer. Keep up the good work drivers!
