A free press is intrinsic to a free society.
As a citizen of the globe I need to know that Julian Assange is safe. I respect the rights of all people, including the right to privacy, but in light of recent events I feel Mr. Assange would understand the concern. WikiLeaks, on Twitter, assured their followers that Mr. Assange would provide proof of well-being via video. this was released as proof of well-being:

We will not be fooled with computer-generated interviews (which includes Hannity's), nor will we accept "press-releases" that we identify as being false. Obama declared him a terrorist; Hillary wanted to drone him (prior to Julian's abduction) and immediately after John Kerry's personal appearance at the Ecuadorian Embassy and his verbal threat to the Ecuadorian Government to shut Assange up, Julian was abducted. We want him back UNHARMED!
He has always appeared at the window regularly to let us know he was ok, he has not done so for months even after requests to wikileaks, imo he is not there anymore and i ask him to appear at the window if i am wrong.
It is not unreasonable to want proof that Julian Assange is safe and has not been 'captured', for a lack of a better term. I am sure he would understand that in view of the extreme corruption in our government, which he has exposed, we know the danger he is in. We have the right to know. Journalism of the truth is what freedom and America is supposed to be about. Now we know, it is not. We want proof of life.
We are all very worried about our only link to the truth, please allow us to know that Julian Assange is okay.
If a video is somehow too dangerous for Julian please let us know that's the case , as people seem to be assuming the worst in spite of a statement from wikileaks saying he's ok and still in the Embassy. Some (many) are speculating wiklinks has been "compromised" though I personally don't ascribe to that . belief.

I think he has been taken and is American hands need to see him live not in some rigged up green screen generated interview
