Hi I have Aspergers Syndrome and am classified as a vunerable adult. I am getting divorced. A 4 day trial was booked 5 months in advance for April 19th, then the day before it was cancelled without warning because of a lack of judges. Two weeks beforehand I had to pay my counsel 50% of their fees and have had to wait another 5 months for a new trial, which again I will have to pay 50% of my counsel fees in advance. I feel this is grossly unfair and unjust and feel that the court service should reimburse me my counsels fees as the trial was cancelled due to their ineffeciency and lack of organisation. The stress and anxiety has also exacerbated my Aspergers symptoms - we struggle to deal with uncertainty and injustice Please would you sign this petition if you too feel that this is unjust and unfair.
