Petition against the decision by the House of Commons not to hold a full public independent judge-led enquiry into the Libor debacle
House of Commons vote Thursday 5th July 2012 Petition against the decision by the House of Commons not to hold a full public independent judge-led enquiry into the Libor debacle I listened to the debate on the banking sector’s appalling decisions to fix the Libor status. The wrong and possibly illegal decisions taken by the bankers, with alleged involvement of politicians, has adversely affected many ordinary people. The vote by the House of Commons, we believe, is wrong, and shows why increasingly the people of this country are losing faith in the politicians who appear to only want to serve their own political self-interest. The Government should reverse the decision taken and put in place a full public independent judge-led enquiry with the relevant remit and power to hold to account those involved in these extremely serious matters. If you are in agreement please sign this petition and send the House of Commons the strongest possible message, so that some faith can be restored in our political system. J.S.Basi
