Dear UN, Indian Army is on murderous campaign in Kashmir. Please on humanitarian grounds, we request you to kindly take a personal interest in expanding and upgrading the UN institutional presence here and to play a more proactive role in addressing the long standing Kashmir issue, the denial of which is creating violent state repression in Indian Occupied Kashmir. Ours is a peoples’ movement for basic human and political rights that has been consistently professing faith in the international framework of arbitration despite being ignored by the global forums repeatedly. Through-out our long and painful struggle, we have used civilized, democratic and peaceful means acceptable under the international law. Even during the current phase of our resistance against Indian occupation, which has so far witnessed lot of mayhem, extra judicial killings, rapes, blinding the young generations by using pellets and bullets, bombarding the houses, using the chemical weopons and totally destroying the social fabric of society, we still broadly maintain that plebiscite under UN auspices is the only democratic, peaceful and just means of resolving the decades-long conflict. Pushed to wall by the Cruelty of India that continues to remain in denial of our basic human and political rights, besides choking every political space, we apprehend a major drift towards extremes in our youth because of growing brutalization by the Indian troops on ground. Dear UN, please now is the time to come forward and save the people of kashmir from Indian brutality.
