Paris Hiton must go to jail
To: The Honourable Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger Paris Whitney Hilton is an American celebrity and socialite. She is an heiress to a share of the Hilton Hotel fortune, as well as to the real estate fortune of her father Richard Hilton. Beyond this, she provides nothing of merit to the world. Hilton is notable for her leading roles on the FOX reality series The Simple Life, where her depressingly shallow persona appalled and amused the world, and in the remake of the Vincent Price horror classic "House of Wax", where she proved that she is no actress. She also appeared in an amateur pornographic video where she made us all realise that she is no porn actress, either. As most of America now knows, Ms. Hilton was just charged in a Los Angeles court with DUI and sentenced to 45 days in Century Regional Detention Facility in California beginning on or before June 5, 2007. We, the public, would be shocked, dismayed and appalled by her behaviour, if this wasn't exactly the kind of selfish stupidity for which she is justly infamous. She should be punished to the full extent of the law, as should all others found guilty of this crime. Just because some celebrities have been shown leniency in the past does not make it right for this travesty to continue. This petition is to ask Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to not pardon Paris Hilton for this crime. She has shown herself to be a selfish, spoiled brat on more than one occasion and her desire to avoid punishment for her crime is just another indicator that she in no way regrets what she has done, nor understands the danger she put other people in. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT to make sure that Paris' lawyers do not manage to lower her sentence, or negate it entirely as they are attempting to do with an odious and self-serving petition of their own. Please sign to tell The Honourable Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger of the State of California, exactly what you think of this woman and the shameless team of hacks that act as her legal defence.
