I have sent several letters to Mr Spies in the past several months, most recently in December; and even copied Mike Hagstrom. They are NOT listening to us. Hybrid is a disaster. It is time to get our kids back to our (we PAY for it) private schools.

We need to follow the words of Blessed John Paul II inscribed on the base of his statue as we enter Shanley High School. "BE NOT AFFRAID" It's time we live by those words.

I sent the petition to JPII administration and requested a meeting this week and to include a few other parents. The petition will remain open to give additional parents the opportunity to sign. Thank you. Brian Madson

We give families the choice for 100% distance-learning currently, which I respect. It’s now time to also give families the choice for 100% in-person learning. There has been enough time to adapt educational strategy. Common sense needs to come in to play. The negatives of hybrid learning now (in my opinion) clearly outweigh the positives of in-person learning and it’s time to make a change back, with options. I’m respectful and grateful for the efforts of JPII to adjust during these times....we all know it hasn’t been easy. However, we can safely let our kids have the option to go back to school....let’s not deprive them of this any longer.

Current county health guidelines for household contact isolation are not all being followed, leading to more missed school time.

Our grandkids are being very negatively affected by not having in school learning both from a lack of education and the subsequent mental toll that follows.
