A well deserving player that has fought through a shoulder injury. Most tackles in the toughest defensive conference.

Josey Jewell is no doubt in my mind the best LB in the country. Wouldn't trade him for anybody. Tough as nails, nobody wanted him and was going to go division 3 football. Instead he got a last minute offer from Iowa.
Despite getting injured and missing a game (doctors forced him to sit, but wanted to play) has more defensive stats than anyone in the conference a d it's not close. Yet some of them were chosen over him. Again overlooked. Don't make the same mistake others DoD in passing him up.
Don't punish him for being on a team ranked 118th in offense, and horrible special teams. He deserves this award
