Apparently the committee took a break when Josey's name appeared. By far the best linebacker in college football this year and an outstanding citizen to boot. If he is not inclued in the finalists I will no longer rely on the Butcus Award as a credible award!

Josey Jewell IS the exact description of the Butkus Award. He is the BEST linebacker in the nation! Josey is the modern day Dick Butkus on the field. He's a fine young man. Josey deserves reconsidered. VERY shocking he was not a finalist! Make this right!!!

I think it’s a damn shame to leave the most talented linebacker in the country off the ballot simply because of a record! Give this man the opportunity he deserves!

No one else is closed including games against Penn State Ohio State and Wisconsin. The teams outcome should not affect the individual performance.
