Josey "the jewel" should at the very least be a finalist if this honor is a true representation of the best linebacker in the NCAA. How does this award justify not having him as a finalist? Isn't this committee aware of the perception of this honor by excluding his gameplay? Do the right thing by including this "2 star" strident athlete.

It would be a disgrace to exclude Josie Jewel from the list of players nominated for this award. Not only is he the best linebacker in college football, he is an upstanding individual who I know will serve others by giving back. Please do the right thing and make Josie Jewel a finalist for the 2017 Butkus Award. Thank you.
