This petition is to request to reinstatement of family visits to prison inmates. I believe that the inmates are already dealing with their sentence, and California Department of Corrections(CDC) is already eliminating many programs that the inmates had previously to keep themselves busy and out of trouble. During regular visits, affection for the loved ones are not even allowed, such as hugging. The excuse for them is that there are families and children, yet they don't allow family visits. It's a difficult moment for both families and inmates in dealing with the life sentence of our loved ones and when we feel emotional, we are not allowed to hug our loved ones. So I ask for your support in signing this petition to help reinstate the family visits for inmates because if CDC wishes to rehabilitate the prisoner, it's not helping by taking everything away from them including their families.
