Libraries are NOT becoming extinct!! There is SO MUCH MORE than books in a library!!! Wifi, movies, music, friendships and family history are crucial to our children and visitors that come from all over the country to visit our library. PLEASE don't deny us the resources that we need for daily operations!!!

Attn: Governor Nixon and Missouri Legislators The American Library System needs to be a priority in your management of our state and our great nation! When this institution is marginalized, the people are marginalized, and I cannot stand, idly by, and condone this mindset. Please release the funds you are withholding, that were budgeted for public libraries immediately. Thank you, Monica R. McGuire

As a student, librarian, and, most importantly, a lifelong reader, I know that communities would suffer without adequate libraries. If you cut funding for libraries, you are diminishing the educational and financial growth of your state.

Libraries help a lot of poorer people to reach towards a better life. Do not take that ability away from them.

Libraries are an investment in an educated and informed populace. Keeping them funded should always be a priority.

Missouri libraries are here to provide the tools individuals need to succeed, regardless of income. They strengthen communities, improve test scores (have you seen the correlation between 3rd grade reading level and likelihood of prison? Have you seen the amazing Summer Reading Programs libraries conduct around this state? These things are important.)

Our libraries are extremely important to all people. In today's' world they do not function without internet. For a lot of people that is their only internet access. You want taxes paid online? Give them access.
