Dear Commission on Presidential Debates: We want Jon Stewart to moderate a presidential debate of 2012!
According to the CPD, "The goal of the CPD's debates is to afford the members of the public an opportunity to sharpen their views, in a focused debate format, of those candidates from among whom the next President and Vice President will be selected."
Jon Stewart, host of the Daily Show on Comedy Central, is a renowned political commentator and public figure. In keeping in line with the principles of the CPD, Jon Stewart is an excellent candidate to moderate a presidential debate.
Often considered one of the most trusted sources in news, Jon Stewart has interviewed many of the most important political figures of the past decade. Under his lead, we can be assured of a fair and straightforward debate which will fulfill the CPD's mission statement.
A presidential debate moderated by Jon Stewart will also be able to reach one of America's largest voter populations - the younger voters.
