Results of a nationwide mass vaccination campaign in the country from February 2 to May 1 showed that the inactivated vaccine is 65.9 percent effective against symptomatic COVID-19, 87.5 percent in the prevention of hospitalization, 90.3 percent against ICU admission, and 86.3 percent against COVID-19 related deaths. The research involved 10.2 million participants aged 16 years and above. I can't understand why the government should show discrimination against any particular type of vaccine like Sinivac to exclude it from the national vaccination programme since WHO and local authority have recognised it's ok nd approve it for emergency use, same as those of mRNA vaccines!!! The lame excuse that China has not provided some essential data on Sinovac to qualify it for official use is just a load of crap that anyone can see are just deliberate attempts to discourage others from using non-mRNA vaccines. If they feel that the missing data may endanger lives of those taking the Sinovac, then it should not have been approved for use at all in the first place. Me and my family members will not vote for them anymore if they persist in tier unreasonable and obstinate way.

Don't penalise the people who have taken the Sinovac vaccines, afterall it is Government who purchased and released the Sinovac vaccines from its stockpiles for released to clinics designated by the Government too!

If the G allows it, why discriminate?

If you let people jab, then why different terms? If it is not effective then why let people jab?

What deals have our govt signed with Pfizer/ Moderna/ USA that they got caught! Like ceca!

If our government imported it... it should be free like Pfizer or Moderna.

Sino vac has few side effects n is as effective as mRNA vaccines n certainly fewer side effects

All WHO approved vaccines should be treated equally. So far non of the vaccine being used now are 100% effective, hence Sinovac should not be treated as an inferior vaccine compare to Moderna or Pfizer.

If sinovac is discriminated, then we should also quarantine all Chinese from PRC when they come to Singapore. The majority of PRC citizens are vaccinated with local vaccine. Cant have it both ways.
