The treatment of second homeowners during this time was very unfair and divisive. It brought negative attention that may cause potential Summer visitors to reconsider spending their vacation time in the Gunnison and Crested Butte area once things re-open. That will harm the small businesses who survive on non-locals in the Summer and ski season.

We must allow visitors to return this summer season or there won’t be many businesses left to reopen. We absolutely NEED our 2nd homeowners and tourists to survive.

Non resident second homeowners pay the same taxes full time residents do and therefore should have some weight on these issues. We love Gunnison County just as much as anyone.
