This has been a huge issue for my family. My son has been denied special education services and we have hired an advocate and will hire lawyers if needed to fight to give him the best chance of learning success.

In NH today, it's acceptable to graduate a kid from highschool, that can't read and write.

We need to stop the abuse to our kid. I demand freedom for our children.

Every student deserves a education

Yes put all children on the same level playing field . We pay property taxes to have our children and grandchildren learn . The State and the Teachers Union have a strangle hold on everyday families . Please pass this bill or gives us back our taxes so we can have School Choice to benefit our kids. I fought long and hard when my son was in School in the 90s for him to get the services he needed that were appropriate to his abilities. Many many IEP meetings ended in frustrated conversations between me and the staff. They felt they were meeting his needs, I felt that they were wasting our time. I haven't seen that anything has changed in the ensuing years since my son graduated high school in 1998 - barely! I now have grandchildren in need of services and IEPs, and have friends that are in the SAU 16 system specifically who have children with special needs and IEPs, along with disabilities. I'm watching their parents fight long and hard to get any services at all that are appropriate to their child's needs and to further their child future. Is a very painful and frustrating process that leads to Nowhere other than more meetings with IEPs and broken promises. The system needs to be attended to and fixed. It is the school's responsibility to make sure that these children leave the school and are able to lead fruitful lives with marketable skills. Instead we just going to dump them on a system that is already overburdened and handcuff them to Poverty for the rest of their life because they do not have the skills that they should have been taught in school.
