Public Vision for our Public Lands at the Celery Fields

Take this opportunity to preserve this green space that has become such an important location in Sarasota County. This should not even need to be discussed. Over development is a real problem in Sarasota just look around.

Unchecked growth for the sake of growth is CANCER, literally by definition. If you keep putting growing profits ahead of real priorities then Sarasota will be lost. Housing Communities are a blight and serve little purpose other than making developers richer.

Please preserve this land!

No more development! Enough is enough!

We live in The Enclave and are against anymore industrial development around The Celery Fields

Sarasota County: We urge you to acknowledge this rare opportunity for public good. Do NOT sell our public lands to private developers. Protect and enhance the Celery Fields Area for all the people of Sarasota.

Please do not sell this beautiful land to developers who will build and run to the next profit making project leaving the residents with an industrial building to deal with for years to come.

This is one of our most precious, natural beauty areas of Sarasota. So many memories, school field trips, and sight seeing experiences that you would be destroying for our future generations. This is as much part of the Sarasota culture as all of our other historical landmarks. Leave it be!

Places of natural beauty and habitat are shrinking daily in the Sarasota area. Sarasota has invested so much in celery fields. Don’t negate this investment by allowing a completely incompatible use nearby.

Celery fields. Please leave the birds alone, do not disturb with noise and people.

We need to allow our native wildlife space to live and breed or we may soon not have any wildlife left.

Nature is precious. Don't squander it

I've only discovered celery fields some four years ago and already realize its importance and beauty to the area. Keep Celery Fields clean from industrialization.

Celery fields is one of my go to destinations. It's always felt like a hidden treasure in a town that is obsessed with its beaches and it makes the town feel more nuanced because of it.

Celery Fields is awesome, don't put money before nature.

How does a "recycling dump" benefit the nature park that is frequent by many young families and students, the Audubon Society with bird watchers, and the Big Cat Habitat which attracts tourist? The dump doesn't benefit this region! Enough already! Put your thinking caps on and use logic for God sakes and STOP thinking of compensating those who fund your political campaigns!

Listen to our community members who vote in large numbers vs. developers who have large numbers measured in dollars but small numbers of votes!
