Public Vision for our Public Lands at the Celery Fields

I have never before signed a FB petition for anything, but this issue is crucial. Think of the future and do the right thing. Please!

I am wholly in support of this effort!

Preserve our public lands for all to enjoy! Stop selling them off to developers so politicians can put money into their own pockets.

DO NOT SELL. Let's keep nature beautiful and free from contaminants. too many people live in the area to bring industrial complexes and polluton

It’s time the development of our town became mindful of the beauty we came to and were blessed with growing up. The more we continue this overdevelopment the less there will be to appreciate. The land cannot be taken back once it is given away.

Whatever your politics, check out Maio who won the Rep primary. If you are against development of land near the celery fields, he may not be your choice.

We need to protect this beautiful part land in Sarasota. It is truly one of Nature's gifts to us.

What a nice green space to keep in the our growing area. There is plenty of space further East to develop. This area is so important to the bird migration patterns too.

I've supported saving the celery fields in the past & will help in any way I can to continue to save this wonderful area. Way too much development!!!!

Please keep the land for the wildlife and for the future generations to enjoy. The celery fields are so unique to this area and so important to so many of us. Please, protect them.

STOP building Sarasota into the ground.. what was once a beautiful town is now looking more and more like a big dirty city. homeless everywhere, construction everywhere, gang tags everywhere enough is enough

We love walking in the Celery Fields to see the birds. If our public land is sold to industries and gated communities, the birds will leave! Public officials, take a walk in the Celery Fields and enjoy nature. Do not sell the 33 acres surrounding this park. Listen to Fresh Start and consider their ideas. Leave a nature legacy to your children and grandchildren and all the people of Sarasota County!

Keep the area around the celery fields as it is NOW! We are losing too much green space...you can't even see the gulf anymore unless you are right on the beach!

The Celery Fields provides a precious ecosystem and habitat for native birds and other creatures. Please do not further encroach on their habitat. Sarasota is already overdeveloped, please retain the natural splendor here for generations to come.

This is a well needed peaceful place for people and animals.
