Public Vision for our Public Lands at the Celery Fields

I'll do anything possible to stop this insane surge of development.

Industrial use is another way of saying destroying our environment...

Every day I see more & more of our local nature disappear & more buildings (Condos, Residential & Commercial) appear in its place. The animals have disappeared along with the land. :( It is so sad that our "old Florida" feel is Disappearing & in its place we have a small community with a big city feel. I miss the "old Florida" feel that Sarasota used to have! We need to protect & nurture what land & native animals we have left in Sarasota before it's all gone! There are plenty of abandoned homes & buildings in Sarasota. We should just improve what is already there in lieu of building new. Sincerely, Samantha Hawkins

We need to change all elected officials/politicians like we change our underwear ,,, otherwise they gain to much power and what the people want be damned!

Once again the elected officials ignore what’s best for the communities that surround What are they getting out of this $ ? There is plenty of land available for these ugly uses

New resident in a neighborhood off Palmer. Drawn to the area by the parks and cleanliness.

I am strongly opposed to selling this beautiful treasure of land for industrial use. We moved to Florida because of the beauty, not the ugliness of industry.

please don't destroy this beautiful place. it was repurposed to give us a place to enjoy nature that is not on the beach. or part of Myakka park. it's a small piece that has a big boon. leave it alone

Some tourists come here specifically for the Celery Fields wildlife. Why do harm on a reliable income source for this community?

Enough. No development in the Celery Fields! These elected official know we don't want it but they are ignoring us again.

Keep the Celery Fields for nature.

More industry is absurd. Keep the land for recreational use by the public.

We need to stop the Land use changes, Comprehensive Plan Amendments and the Rezoning that affects us all In Sarasota County, otherwise it will become a "wild,wild west of development..".where anything goes" WE to have a petition to Stop A MAJOR COMPREHENSIVE PLAN IN VENICE.
