Jim's arrangements of Star Wars are, in a word, incredible. They are a beautiful homage to an incredibly important piece of popular culture, but more than that, they in themselves are beautiful works of art. The trombone choir is a unique ensemble, with a range not only spanning 7 or more octaves, but a range of dynamics and color that has a beauty and power all its own. These arrangements would be in very high demand for so many reasons. They are expertly arranged, and the music itself is hugely popular. Jim has taken the best music from the movies and put it into a medium that anyone can listen to and just say "WOW". All of my professional music friends I've played these for are simply left with their jaws hanging open. A fellow horn player even sent me a text the next day saying "Jim Nova wants to make me play trombone." These are amazing and would make an incredible addition to the options available to trombonist looking for ensemble performance material.

These arrangements are incredible and totally capture the feeling of what John Williams intended. As I performed and recorded these pieces with Maestro Williams over many years, I know how much he loved trombones and he would get a real 'kick' knowing these great pieces of his were getting a chance to be performed by the best of like instrument ensembles. I know he would love the broad range of dynamics and tonal colors this ensemble can bring to his music. I support it a 150%. Bravo Jim Nova for doing this!!!

Jim's arrangements were written out of admiration for John's Williams' music, and are performed at the highest possible level in his recordings. Please allow his enthusiasm for such great music to be shared in print with others!!!!

I have had the privilege of working with John Williams for well over 30 years. Jim Nova's first class arrangements of his music really needs to get out in the public! The arranging is absolutely first class, and every trombone ensemble would benefit from having the opportunity to play the music of one of Americas leading composers.

Heard about your petition on CBC radio "As It Happens". My 10 yr old son plays the trombone in school...didn't think it was cool, so I introduced him to "76" of them! Thanks for giving me another reason to encourage him to love his instrument.
