These arrangements are fantastic. As another fan of John Williams, these arrangements really do the man justice. These may be more difficult than the normal trombone choir reads, but I do believe that many college groups will play these over and over.
Trombone music is generally too easy and the trombone gets categorized as an instrument that can't play anything difficult. This trickles down from ensembles to trombone choir, even to solo work. There just isn't enough good music out there, and these would really help the trombone community.
I for one, would love to play these with my trombone choir, even if it takes some work, anything worth while, takes time and effort to pull off.

I really enjoy Jim Nova's arrangements. They would be a huge asset to my trombone choir library at UMass/Lowell. The students would enjoy playing them and the audience would be thrilled.

I can personally attest to the arranger's deep emotional involvement in the creation of this music. The original intent of Mr. Williams is treated with the highest care and regard and I feel that these versions for trombone choir do a faithful job of carrying the music's meaning, in large part because Mr. Nova understands that these tunes carry a great breadth of feeling and he puts every effort into keeping that original pathos. This is to have a listener or player experience the same excitement, sorrow, joy, or other emotion that they would get for hearing the original score and I can attest that the pieces do that! They should really be called transcriptions for how faithful they remain to the original music of Mr. Williams. I think he would be touched with their quality. The trombone ensemble's repertoire would be greatly enhanced by the publication of these works!

John Williams' compositions are simply wonderful. Jim Nova's arrangements for trombone choir are fabulous, communicating the excitement and richness of the orchestral arrangements. They need to be published!
