Hello all!
As many of you already know, I've been a huge fan of John Williams and his music ever since my Dad brought me to see Star Wars as a little boy. I've had the privilege of working with him on numerous occasions and in many capacities during my career. Over the years I've done many arrangements of John Williams' music for various sizes of trombone ensembles and recently taken to recording overdub versions of myself playing all the parts; check them out at the links below. Also check out the youtube links below of some of these arrangements performed with a full trombone choir.
John Williams' music is rightfully in high demand and permission to publish arrangements is closely guarded. The onus is on the trombone community to demonstrate that it will be viable and worthwhile for the licensing to be granted.
In order to have a chance of getting permission to publish these arrangements, I need to demonstrate beyond a shadow of a doubt the there is a real demand out there. This is where I need YOUR help. Please sign this petition before FEBRUARY 15th with your name, position and comments of support for having my arrangements published and made available to the public!!

Seeing this level of enthusiasm for these arrangements is truly overwhelming and reminds me of why I started transcribing this music in the first place. This momentum proves that the trombone community is ready to bring these pieces to life in concert halls everywhere. We have showed that the demand is real and I am so grateful to everyone who has stepped up to help realize this goal.

I have been reading through the comments and seeing how many of you grew up with these scores just like I did. Your stories about playing this music in school or being moved by it in the theater confirm why we need these arrangements published. I am currently working on ways to demonstrate this depth of passion to the publishers.

I'm always looking for quality music and quality arrangements for my students and music to recommend to my colleagues for their students. When listening to music like this it is very inspiring to young musician who are eager and thirsty to play THIS music.
I would absolutely purchase several of these arrangements in a heart beat. Great music for trombone choir is so hard to find and James Nova has done some brilliant arrangements. Personally, I find that many pieces John William's music is particularly suited to trombone choir.
I heard these pieces when a dozen or so trombones and 2 tubas (one of the latter played by my son) performed before a PSO concert last week. I thought it was wonderful, and all of the audience also seemed to enjoy it greatly.
Not only do these arrangements celebrate the power of the original compositions, they are great ambassadorial vehicles for the trombone, showing the range and dynamics possible from the trombone choir, one of my personal favorite ensembles.
The arrangements in question are a good representation of John Williams' music and are demanding yet within the reach of an upper classman/graduate student as well as professional players. I highly recommend these arrangements to be published.
This would be awesome!
Combining two of my favorite things is genius! Please publish it!

Heard about your petition on CBC radio "As It Happens". My 10 yr old son plays the trombone in school...didn't think it was cool, so I introduced him to "76" of them! Thanks for giving me another reason to encourage him to love his instrument.
