In association with High CaliBAR Fitness, the Canberra Parkour Association and the Canberra Capoeria Community.
We are seeking support to have the outdoor fitness station at Belconnen's John Knight Memorial Park brought up to current day standards. Our aim is to have similar callisthenic equipment that has been installed in Wetherill Park Sydney recently (as seen in the proposal, link below), mixed with the parkour designs that have been erected overseas in the past years (also in the proposal).
Our goal is to introduce new and free fitness alternatives to the community to help combat the growing obesity trends within the Capital. (As seen in Katy Gallagher's 'Zero Growth' action plan.) These facilities will cater to a wide range of fitness disciplines, people of all fitness levels and inject a really positive atmosphere into the heart of the community.
Please help us make a positive change to the community.

This would be a great low-cost way to encourage fitness in the community. No doubt it would see a lot of use.
