John Abbott College: Investigate Campus Sexual Assault

This is the 21st century. Get with the times. She enjoyed it!

This is not the first incident. I have a report of an assault that occurred at John Abbott College last year and the police told the victim they would not pursue the matter.

Support the victim, not the perpetrator.

When i find out who this is hell be sorry...

Perpetrators are generally someone we know. We can't forget this.

Feel sad that the police is handling those cases nowhere better than Chinese police, what will happen to me if it's me. scary to think about it.

Whoever lets rape pass un-noticed is part of the problem

John Abbott should be ashamed of the way they are handling this incident.

This is disgusting and unacceptable. Why do most schools turn a blind eye? It's all about money and reputation..and THAT and RAPE CULTURE has to stop!

This case needs to be taken seriously. This is an injustice to all women. If a dog is assaulted it is taken seriously but if a woman says she was sexually assaulted her case is dismissed.

It's not up to the police to JUDGE whether a sexual assault took place. They need to just gather the evidence, and let a judge and jury decide if an assault took place or not. That's THEIR job.

I truly hope justice will be served.

I am so outraged about this rape culture thing. I am so sorry. May the victim receive justice for what happened! I hope , in the future, rape cases will be handled better than how it's being handled right now.

My alma mater and my 17 year old daughter's new school. Mothers of sons need to have a talk about consent and personal responsibility. I hated having the "talk" with her - be loud, be forceful, be aggressive - this puts the onus of responsibility on her and forces her to adjust her behaviour and be defensive.

This is a travesty.

I was sexually assaulted in residence last year. I never denounced my rapist. She was brave enough to do it and they ignored her. One woman out of 4 experience sexual violence on college campuses. This is unacceptable. What is even more unacceptable is the treatment John Abbott College gives to victims of sexual assault. We need justice for her. Otherwise, rapists at school are just going to do it again and again thinking they are protected by the school.

Those bruises weren't caused amicably.

They need to do something about this! And after they wonder why less men and woman want to go to the police...
