This would be a huge honor to our beloved JoAnne Acosta who was such a dedicated educator in Georgetown. She loved children and absolutely loved her job as a teacher. She touched the lives of so many students and teachers. She ahd true heart for teaching and was ALWAYS willing to help in any way.

I never had the pleasure of meeting JoAnne, but from what I have heard and read she was a blessing to Georgetown ISD and Carver. She deserves to have a school named in her honor due to her hard work and hard fight with cancer.

JoAnne was so helpful to me when I became an interventionist at Frost Elementary by providing me with much needed material. She touched my heart and I will never forget her.
