Hi Dual JD Class of 2027!
I am so looking forward to the opportunity to help represent our Dual JD class. I'm collecting signatures for a bid to run for the position of Class Secretary on the Student Bar Association.
I come with 15 years' experience in board work and currently hold the position of Secretary of the Board of Directors for a non-profit Youth Basketball Association. I have served on that board for over 4 years. In addition, I am a licensed paralegal and notary public.
My interests lie in contributing to SBA efforts in making sure our class is FULLY represented on both sides of the border. Moreover, my goal as Secretary of the SBA is to facilitate open lines of communication as between the Dual JD Class of 2027 with its elected SBA, the universities, and other groups that serve our interests.
These interests don't disintegrate in the event I am not nominated/elected. If my opponent claims the role, I would be pleased to offer my support as they begin to acclimate to their role as Secretary.
