Jimmy's was great in every way. My wife, children, family and friends would always look forward to our only car picnic in San franciaco..... Having a car picnic in San franciaco ggp, well that's a historical sight it self. And to know its been there from 1988 till 2014 well what does that tell you. Anyway hope to see the show in 2015 and there after aswell..........James T

Give San Francisco's old car enthusiasts 'fair share' access to Golden Gate park. An open meadow , fresh sea air, a backdrop of tall trees and a cheerful public celebrating a day in the park. What's wrong with this? The city's park department need only look at the attendance: the public wants this. the demographic of happy lookers and owners broadly covers this city's groups in age and ethnicity. Let the public use the public park and celebrate the moment. Long live JImmy's Old Car Picnic! Keep it where it is; it's not broken so don't fix it.

I'm a San Francisco native and just realized that this event has been around for 25 years. My first visit to the event was this past Saturday. What a wonderful event! I was so impressed with the event and saw nothing but smiles. My son & I were absolutely amazed by how friendly everyone was and the variety of cars and people from different walks of life come together to share their love of cars. I truly hope this will not be the end of one of the few or the only car enthusiasts gatherings in our city!

Give our city's automobile enthusiasts a break. Lord know we don't have long to go under the anti-car zealots who reign at City Hall these days.

I love the old cars and seeing friends and family. It is always a family event, unlike the 420 event, the picnic is for the kids, and no arrests and no trash left behind. Plus the old car picnic contributes to the park and rec and proceeds go to a charity.

This event is not just about cars but about community. We have met so many diverse people and has allowed us become part of city.

This is a great family oriented fund raising event with a rich tradition. Soon the events known as car shows will only be found in the classical book department of our local public libraries. Let's keep this alive, SF!

Keep Jimmy's picnic alive! I have a love for classic cars thanks to my late father. My old man bought me a 1954 skylark Buick convertible on my 1st bday. I still have that car and hope to some day restore it so that I too can share it with others...I remember him taking me to the picnic the very first year that they had it and every year thereafter until he passed.I would love to continue this tradition with my own daughter and instill in her the same appreciation for classic rides.

This is a family and community event that supports the only Recreation center for Disabled children and adults in San Francisco. My son would be lost without the friends and fun he enjoys at Janet Pomeroy. I cant believe this is being stripped from our city. We need more events like Jimmys picnic.

What the Park and Rec department of SF is doing is recreation gentrification.

I've been going to Jimmy's Picnic since the early years. I'm a Native San Franciscan, who still lives hear. I own property in the City, pay property tax, am married to another SF Native and we are raising our child with the same good core values we were raised with hear in our Native City. I have an interest in classic cars, I have a couple myself, and not only enjoy "Jimmy's Picnic" but believe it is necessary to help keep some part of the fabric of our city intact. Stop Charging Jimmy O'Keefe so much for a permit! It's ridiculous! Phil Ginsberg what you are doing is nothing short if extortion to attain your end! It's sickening. Keep Jimmy's picnic going!!!

Went for the first time last year as a spectator. Loved it. Great crowd and great memories for me. Grew up in the back seat of a 66 Impala. Dads car. Keep it going. William
