Jimmy Lee Burke Jr. Memorial Skateboard Park Bartow

There is simply no reason not to have a skatepark in bartow. The facility at mhp is all but gone. Skateboarding is just as important as soccer, baseball, and football. All of which is fully supported by the city. The demise of the skatepark in mhp is a disgrace and dis-service to bartow skaters , both adult and youth. I pay taxes , I vote , and I pay attention to commisioners that don't pay attention.

I remember how packed it was on opening day and now it's desolate. The city rarely did any maintenance if at all. You would see skaters sweep and clean the areas. Also thanks for using that picture of me for thia petiton lol. That was about 4 years ago.

Fix the park, invest in your future!

Sports are a great thing for kids and even all people to get involved in as they promote physical activity. They also provide a means for positive activity in one's life and can be helpful in decreasing crime and other negative acts. I think it would be fantastic to add this to the city, not only as an area for physical activity but also as an object of aesthetic attraction for the area.

Bartow skatepark definitely needs to be remodeled and should have a tent covering it so when it rains we could still skate. Please fix it up cause some of us can't go all the way out to lakeland skatepark.

I grew up skating in bartow

Good luck. I was part of the group who taught to get the bartow skatepark built. Keep at it!

Good luck

We need a park in bartow because we have no place to skate and it would be nice for a place for the kids to go to

I would love to see this happen in bartow

I totally agree.

This is a very good thing.I would like to see this happen.

Please let the citizens know that every sport deserves a safe and positive environment.

Great job guys

We need another park to help support the youth. In a town where skateboarding has almost gone extinct, this is something that Bartow desperately needs.
