I also support letting the kids choose which color they want to wear and the addition of a neutral color like white. It matches the school colors and therefore the kids could choose to wear red, white, or blue.

As long as anyone can choose either red or blue (and it isn't gender based) I'd say let the students choose. While tradition isn't always good, I'd say this tradition is doing no harm. School admin - Focus your energy on issues that matter, this is an unnecessary use (force) of power.

Kids should always have a choice, it's JUST a color!! People need to STOP making things such a big deal than they really are! Its ALWAYS been JUST a color that represents the school....DO NOT make it into something it's not & change things, KEEP THE TRADITION!!!! ❤

Dear Admin,
Have you all lost your mind? There are certainly more important things to address around graduation, education and community! As an alumni, I find it incredulous you have allowed to happen to the traditions and history of JHS. I recently learned you tossed all of our trophys and auctioned off our athletic banners! While traditionally the girls wore red and boys wore blue, I think allowing them to choose one of those colors is an excellent solution rather than forcing them to be sheeple and line up to follow your one gown color ultimatum. Please focus on issues that really matter!

I graduated in 1980 wearing a red gown after having walked onto the stage with my classmate who was wearing a blue gown. And I turned out just fine. So did he! knock if off creepy Administrators. This is not your school, it belongs to students - then and now!

First the mascot, now making the kids choose ONE color? I got an idea admin...quit messing with our alma mater because you obviously don’t understand the value of JHS tradition nor the passion of the alumni.

The seniors want to follow tradition, it's their day and their memories. Let them wear red , white and blue.
