As the child of refugees who owes her existence to the generosity of Britain in taking in her parents fleeing from Nazi Germany I appeal to the British Government to assist the refugees who are seeking assistance. I can offer rooms in my house to help with accommodation.

We need to deal with the immediate crisis and also to recognise that we are in the midst of mass migrations which will be exacerbated by climate change. We cannot be bystanders

Our leaders need to take a lead on this now before it is too late. Our community should have the confidence to be a force for compassion and a light unto the nations.
