JetBlue to Join Star Alliance
With the exit of US Airways from the Star Alliance many feel there is an opening for a US based airline to take its place. Being 20% owned by Star Alliance founding member, Lufthansa German Airlines, it would seem that JetBlue is the perfect to fill the US Airways void. Loyal Jet Blue TrueBlue members feel landlocked when it comes to the lack of redemption opportunities in Europe, Asia and Latin America. By bringing JetBlue into the Star Alliance JetBlue flyers would be brought a whole new sense of freedom when it comes to redemption. Further, by adding JetBlue to the Star Alliance foreign members of the alliance will be able to maintain the level of US connection options their passengers have become accustom to with the inclusion of US Airways. And, with the announcement last year that JetBlue will be introducing multiple classes of service on longer flights, the timing couldn't be more perfect. Lufthansa, use your mighty airline muscle and help give us TrueBlue members the freedom to travel throughout the world.
