sega, this is the one way to redeem yourself after what you've done. take a break milking out the sonic franchise* and make something that your consumers actually want. you ignore our pleas because you feel like not listening to the sonsumers and digging your own grave. even after countless hours of picking apart JSRF as i do speedruns, i've noticed that JSRF holds up better by tenfold compared to many modern hit games so if you release the hd version, you've got a viral phenomenon of a game on your hands. you may argue that "jsrf didn't sell well when it was first released so why would it sell well nowadays?" well, JSRF was very far ahead of its time and honestly resembles something from the future. however the gameplay and artstyle will definitely strike the most basic chord and as such will resonate with anyone. JSRF is like a modern indie or AAA platformer with refined tweaks to gameplay that it seems like a perfect game with no flaws whatsoever (except for the camera) just because it's so damn fun to just move around and spray stuff it's unreal.
please make this a reality sega, and if you are too ignorant to heed the calls of your consumers, at least do it because it'll make a hell of a lot of money.
*because if you took a break, you would create more highly anticipated and more fresh games instead of making a new sonic until the dying franchise makes another game that uncoincidentally rhymes with "Chronic Farces"

I would die, proud, knowing there was a remaster or port of this on steam. You guys seemed to get that the fans know what we want, which is why Sonic Mania was so amazing. Imagine being able to skin characters how you want them to be, and using them in game! Oh yes... Please Sega, do right by us, who have stuck with you through all your ups and ( mostly ) downs

I was one of the kids who had this game included with their Xbox. No prior knowledge of the series, but the game is AMAZING and is hands down one of my most replayed games ever. This would give me ALL the joy just to be able to play it again, as I no longer have an Xbox or this game at my disposal. PLEASE make it happen, Sega!
