First of all, a landlord has to give notice to a tenant BEFORE entering. And second, this animal control person shouldn't be in that line of work. He obviously does NOT have compassion for animals!!

This should NEVER have happened. He had no right. He grossly overstepped boundaries. He caused an animal's death and intense grief for its owner. Totally unacceptable.

I know there are two sides to every story, but you have two individuals who claim he admitted to taking a dog from a property not his and shooting the dog. Clearly this should be easy to figure out what was violated as the landlord has confirmed Clase came to the property and removed the dog. Is there any paperwork with the shelter or county on what steps he then took? I am pretty sure taking a dog and shooting it does not fall in the guidelines in place. Someone working in Animal Control should have a love for animals and should not be treating them in such a way. The fact that the dog owner was not notified and actions were taken to euthanize (inhumanely) her dog before she even knew the dog was taken is just unacceptable. You owe it to be responsible to your county to have a responsible individual who loves animals being an animal control officer. With as many complaints as he has received, there is a pattern. I worked in HR for 7 years, specializing in Employee Relations and with that many complaints it is not fabrication and there is most likely truth behind that. You need to seriously look into Mr. Clase and his actions. If he truly euthanized this dog without following proper procedures in ALL areas, then he needs to be let go.
