No school board has the right to ignore state laws, particularly not when doing so endangers the safety of the students they are responsible for. School board members work for the parents of those students and it is their job to speak up for the safety and fruitful education of those students. Sitting silently in the corner and remaining inactive while one's colleagues choose to do whatever they like in flagrant opposition to state law and the wishes of the parents that elected them is failing to perform one's job as much as the rest of them are failing.

Disappointing performance especially after trying to reason with her. When millions of educational dollars are high jacked by money needed help students in a state listed as 50th in the United States , when students wishes override parental and taxpayers legal rights and violate Governors orders, it’s time to stop the meetings and end the school’s system of impaired delivery of educational needs. Mrs Franklin is a nice person just not aligned with the values and priorities our students and schools need.

This is the reason why I pulled my daughter from public school and I am now homeschooling. I attended a school board meeting and I was appalled of how the board members acted. How would I feel sending my daughter to school knowing that these people are in charge of decisions regarding a student. I am disgusted, disappointed, and concerned for all students in the public school system.

It is not just her or the school board, it is the whole thing, the city council members-all government needs to be shut down and begun again with we the people, not their paychecks and power grabs or misplaced loyalties. Hoping this petition helps.
