Supermarket For Jedburgh
I the undersigned wish to support the case of the developer for a new supermarket in Jedburgh on land which will never be developed on for industrial use, The land is an eyesore and has sat in a disgusting state for way too long now. The new store would bring a much needed 110 jobs for the town and provide greater range to the locals and surrounding areas.
The Co-op will just keep increasing their prices because they have the monopoly for the town, The co-op does'nt care about the little person but more about their own pockets.
The Co-op has 2 stores existing within the town centre which in a lot of towns people view is being greedy. Without the redevelopment by means of a new store on this site Jedburgh has no future for our future generations.
Scottish Borders Council seem to be interested in towns other than Jedburgh. As a main gateway into The Scottish Borders and Scotland this site needs redevelopment to rid Jedburgh of this eyesore on land at the former Oregon Homes site.
