The release of Hussein Khalifa and Abdullah Hamdawe has finally been secured. I am deeply thankful to everyone who helped sustain the pressure required to reach this outcome. We will remain observant as they regain their footing following this period of detention.

We call upon the Sudanese government to release immediately commander Hussein Khalifa, Chairman of ELF and Abdullah Hamdawe member of the Executive Committee of the Eritrean Liberation Front . They are detainees in the Sudanese security prisons.

Every human being has the right not be imprisoned for no reason. A man who fought all his life for the right of his people shouldn't deserve this.
I gather that they entered Sudan Legally. Besides, they have no bad intentions towards Sudan, which is their second country. Please set them free !
I hope the authority in Sudan think deeply and donot make a mistake. I hope to free the leades of the elf. They must understand that esyas will never be their friend.

The Republic of the Sudan has been a safe place for Eritreans. The arrest of our veteran freedom fighters goes against this tradition. Release our freedom fighter
