We need an easier dress code, we are in high school for crying out loud, we need a little more freedom to wear what we want.

I honestly think there should not be a dress code because if people think that boys can wear tank tops or skinny jeans then let girls wear what they want.

tbh i really don't go to carson but i dont think it should be that you can't wear leggings. I mean really boys are going to look at a girl regardless if she has a long shirt or not. And other thing is the three finger rule there going to look at a shoulder to. If the distracts a boy from he's work thats on him..

This should have been changed WHILE I was in high school, and I didn't even go to Carson but I know the policies. I was dress codes many times throughout my high school career; it is incredibly sexist and outrageously unfair. Props to you for taking a stand! Hope all goes well and you can let your shoulders hang out on hot summer school days. ❤

I believe the dress code should indeed be changed. Although, I have not been dress coded, I have seen multiple other people get dress coded around me. And who were they? They were all female. One I remember in specific was this girl who came into my English class to tell my teacher that she needed to go get a change of clothes since the principle himself called the student out and told her that her outfit was inappropriate. Why? Because she was wearing leggings that could distract "other students". For a female student to be dress coded for such things and is forced to miss a very important class, not only is it sexist, but it is implying that a boys education is more important than a females just because teenage boys can't control their hormones and "teenage urges." I have seen boys run laps on the track, completely shirtless, and nothing was said. But my god, if a girl wears a tank top or ripped skinny jeans or leggings, it's like boys pop boners like daisies in the spring. Rather than teaching girls to cover themselves up for the sake of "other" students, please teach the "other" students to control their sexual urges and to not see female students as sex objects. Thank you.
