Hello Everyone, My name is Jacob Bickett (He/Him). I am petitioning to become the next Student Senate President. I am a Finance Major with Minors in Accounting and Economics, from Bloomington IL.

In my time at Illinois Wesleyan I have been active on campus. As a freshman, I was elected to the Student Senate, rushed Tau Kappa Epsilon and Alpha Kappa Psi. During that year, as a senator, I served on the Student Safety committee and the Petrick Idea Center planning committee. At the conclusion of the first semester, I was honored to be selected Assistant Treasurer, Titan Orientation Leader, Interfraternity Council Vice President of Programming, and Secretary for TKE. At the conclusion of the year, I was awarded Emerging Leader of the Year in the Do Well Do Good Awards. In my Sophomore year, I was recognized again with the Do Well and Do Good Award for Collaborative Program of the year with the Philanthropy Greek Basketball game, raising over five hundred dollars. Currently, I serve as the Student Senate Treasurer. As the Student Senate Treasurer, I have enhanced the Financial allocation procedure that RSOs use for daily activities, by making it easier to use and more accommodating. These improvements have allowed an increase in activities, creation of new RSOs and expanded the opportunities for more members of our campus to benefit from the funding provided. Additionally, I currently serve as the Alpha Kappa Psi Treasurer, Vice President of TKE and Senior Titan Orientation leader.

I am very passionate about our Titan community and would be honored to serve as the next Student Senate President. If elected, I will work to expand mental health programs, boost RSO activity and broaden diversity & inclusion initiatives and be open to listen to everyone's concerns and suggestions.

Thank you for your consideration and I would appreciate your support in the upcoming election.
