I would like to suggest a SSTV contest calling frequency (14.236 or 21.345 fo example) and have the contest qso within 3khz from these frequencies....
This might avoid annoying the regular sstv enthusiast and maybe even give more participants....

entire august spoiled by jasta contest with some disrespectful and powerful stations, calling often in slow modes on 14.230, impossible to do a qso without jasta calls over .. if i'm not against jasta, i'm against the mayhem, please, can you maybe modify the rules, or change frequency ( the 20m band is larger enough for a contest on another subband !)

Contest running 7/7 24/24 for 1 month is a bit crazy .... make time blocs spread all over the month ... and of course NO CONTEST QSO on the SSTV calling frequencies ! ON4VT.be

I think Jasta gave a lot of QRM at well known sstv frequencies. All over, under and in between other amateurs to get that #. If i should do this in a voice conversation it sounds like the CB band (27mc) and not sounds as Licensed radio amateurs. Please give (something for the organisation) an other suggestion for a "JASTA" frequency for the future. Saves a lot of angry birds.... I am happy the month is over for this year. Best 73's de PD7BdN

I believe Jasta should continue but under new rules, 1. No Contesting on Current SSTV Calling frequencies. 2. shorten the contest time to maybe one week and 3. Contact same station only once on each band, that is a true contest.
To have a month long contest all on the same frequency working the same station every day is unheard of.

This contest means nothing to a great number of SSTV operators in the Northern Hemisphere and due to the zealous activity that do participate from this part of the world, and show total disregard for other genuine operators that are quite entitled to use 14.230 on a daily basis and not involved in your contest, but get rebuffed by the predominant operators this way, and even abused. I feel it is time you found a frequency other than 14.230 to operate your contest and allow the rest of the world to carry on daily as they should be allowed to do so. 73 and good luck
Enough, have your contest elsewhere, VK5KV
