The Jasta contest is way too long, it should be short, maybe 48 hours and not run on the international calling frequency where others trying to communicate. 73 de YB1RDI

The Jasta contest is too long. More than enough only one week or some days, and one band, e.g. 15m and/or 80m. 73! HA7NB

Dedicate a competition frequency, to be fair to other non-competition traffic. Hopefully this can be resolved for future events.

Agreed, we need to leave room for operators who do not wish to participate in a contest. Perhaps the band plans should have an international contest calling freq, and an international non-contest calling freq. VK6MN

Was replying to a VK3 station's CQ SSTV and was jammed by a JASTA contester demanding numbers. 14.230 MHz is a call frequency.

For several years I have completely stopped all SSTV activity during my August holidays because the JASTA competition makes impossible any traffic on 14.230. I do not think it is acceptable that a minority forbidden any trafic to the rest of all operators during his vacation period. 73s

JASTA participants constantly cause interference to other operators on 14.230 MHz. These contest ops are aware of the other stations trying to operate and they transmit over other stations anyway. The contesters illegally and deliberately cause intentional interference, which is a serious offence in any country. This contest should be eliminated because it is providing poor operators with an excuse for illegal operating practices and ruins the hobby for a solid month for 1000's of other operators that do not participate.
