0800 is a better time to allow early morning sport to take place- a simple survey would confirm the street has 2 parking use rhythms thanks

We often don't get back off the river until after 7a.m. - parking meters from 7a.m. - well outside business hours is ridiculous.

This is a great idea. We have wonderful spaces for people to exercise near the river and it seems silly for parking to be a barrier early in the morning outside of business hours.

I believe this would be in the positive interest of those who rise early for sporting reasons

An 8am start to metered parking makes sense to encourage the use of the recreational facilities in this area.

Moving the metered parking earlier would be effectively punishing existing Masters Rowers for their healthy exercise habit and would certainly disincentivise others from beginning theirs. It would be a serious blow to the physical and mental well being of many, for no community benefit.

Totally agree - no justification at all for a 7.00 am revenue grab - and every reason to make it easier (and less costly!) for morning exercise!!

Being an early morning rower I support a meter that starts later than 7am which would support BCC promoting healthier happier Qld and use of the river and recreational facilities.

I fully support this. You only need to look at the major push Aus Sport is doing to get people active. The Jane Street Hub is a fine example of people getting active and being outdoors. 8am is smarter time to start then 7am.

A later start would make access to facilities available for all. I thought BCC and QLD Govt wanted a healthier population.
i have experienced the same problem with parking.
