Has Disney ever had a princess with a disability like down syndrome? No they have not. Wouldn't you love to see Jamie Brewer as the first princess with down syndrom. It would be a live action movie and she would be a real role model to kids who have things like down syndrome. What wonderful lessons of diversity, compassion and acceptance disney could teach our kids if they promoted disabled characters as heroes and heroines in their beloved movies.
Seeing so many of you share stories about your own children and loved ones makes me realize how hungry we all are for this kind of representation. I have been spending my evenings researching production contacts and drafting letters because Jamie deserves to be seen. Your commitment to this vision keeps me going when the silence from the studio feels heavy.

In real life, she's not a princess but in fiction, yes you make her princess. I've known a friend with Down syndrome since middle school.
