Within the next 15 to 20 years for those of us who will be facing retirement and expect to recieve social security benefits... there will not be any benefits. This is due to the great amount of borrowing and spending law makers are doing from our social security funds without any concrete plan on how the money will be replenished. Meanwhile, we as taxpayers give unto social security faithfully by way of weekly or biweekly payroll deduction with the expectation of seeing a return on our investment and the bottom line is there will not be any social security benefits left for us. Then why should we as taxpayers continue paying social security taxes to the Government for something we will never see? I say, stop the payroll deductions for social security taxes and allow us the taxpayers to be the stewards of our own money so that we may govern our futures. Please sign my petition in support of stopping Government from taking money for a benefit that will never be seen.
